The EU and US has announced that its respective AEO or CT-PAT authorised traders will enjoy the following benefits in a decision signed on 4/5/12:

CIP (12)36 provides more details on this encouraging development. Its main practical impact will be for companies exporting goods to the US as non-AEO approved exports are more than 5 times as likely to be investigated and possibly delayed, making AEO application of more practical use for these companies.
