Customs Duties on Certain Cereal Imports Temporarily Suspended

28 February 2011

In response to the alarming global rise in the cost of cereals and the export restrictions imposed in Russia and Ukraine on wheat, the European Commission has published Regulation 177/2011 temporarily suspending import duties on cereals of CN Code 1001.90.99 of a quality other than ‘high quality’ as defined in Commission Regulation 642/2010 and CN 1003.00.

The suspension of duties will be in force for the 2010/2011 marketing year.
