Reclaims of Security Deposits for ADD on Chinese Ceramic Imports

08 July 2013

The EU has imposed definitive ADD on import of certain ceramic imports from China under Council Regulation 412/2013.  The provisional ADD measures with effect from 16 November 2012 collected higher amounts of ADD then finally determined under the definitive measures.  As a result, HMRC is holding thousands of security deposits which need downward adjustment (repaying).

To assist in the process, HMRC is proposing importers with 50 entries or more submit their claims in a schedule rather than on separate claim forms.  CIP (13)42 sets out details of what the schedules must contain and contact address.

If any importers need assistance with this then please contact us.
