Exports: Updated List of Dual Use Goods

An updated list of dual use goods is due to come in to effect on 31 December 2014. The update includes 400 changes including the addition of new controls, the removal of some controls and changes in technical parameters of others. Notice to Exporters 2014/31 provides an overview PowerPoint slide on the changes as well as links to the detailed updates.

The dual use regime is a system to control the export of items that can be used for both commercial and military use. The Regulations determine whether an export licence is needed and if so, the type of licence. Failure to comply with the Regulation has serious consequences and we advise any business exporting to carry out a review of their activities against these provisions. If you need any assistance with this then please get in touch.
