Rob set up ITS in 2001, having previously spent eight years in Andersen’s International Trade & Customs practice. When he left Andersen’s, Robert was one of the most experienced managers in this field in the UK practice, having worked with a wide range of clients, including large multinationals/manufacturing companies on all aspects of customs planning. This experience provides Rob with a deep insight into best practice employed by companies in the customs area and a clear understanding of the pitfalls to avoid when implementing planning.
Working closely with professionals from supply chain, tax and legal functions gives Rob a good appreciation of how the customs issues inter-relate with other aspects of business.
Prior to entering into customs consultancy, Rob successfully completed a law degree and the Law Society final examination. This background provides a sound basis for understanding and interpreting customs law and how it impacts on other areas such as contract, intellectual property protection etc.
